Lexica is seeking an experienced consultant with in-depth understanding of public sector estates planning and preferably in the health or life sciences arena. The Senior Estates Planning Manager is a new role within the Strategy Life Sciences Service Line (SLS), reporting to the Strategy in Life Sciences Director and will be part of a small team. This role would be suited to a candidate who has a demonstrable background in Architecture or Masterplanning.
This full-time role will be working in a government department’s Science Estate Planning Function to support strategic development and management of the client’s estate. The role requires a minimum of three days per week at a major government life sciences site based in Surrey, with occasional travel to other UK sites.

<ul><li>Plot management for the client’s estate</li><li>Management of ‘client needs’ processes and stakeholders</li><li>Estate Development Control Plan management</li><li>Technical Board management</li><li>Report management</li><li>Business processes for the planning function management</li><li>Assist the client in developing robust information supporting project delivery and implementation </li><li>Support strategic advisory functions</li><li>Support SLS business development</li></ul>

Essential skills<ul><li>Proven consultative approach to client work</li><li>The ability to build alliances and provide expert stakeholder management</li><li>An analytical and critical thinker</li><li>An understanding of data-driven analysis to inform strategic decisions</li><li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills</li><li>Proficiency in delivering high-quality presentations and reports</li><li>Ability to improve and develop processes, ensuring compliance and efficiency</li><li>Ability to manage assurance and validation processes</li><li>A strong and proven team player </li><li>Ability to use Autodesk software (AutoCAD and Revit)</li></ul>
Essential qualifications and experience <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in architecture or in the construction industry/sector </li><li>Significant demonstrable experience in the construction industry and/or public sector</li><li>Project Management qualification (Prince 2 / APM PQ)</li><li>Stakeholder engagement and management skills, with political astuteness</li><li>Strong relationships with technical partners and sector specialists and experts</li></ul><div>Estate strategy delivery</div><ul><li>Experience with Public Sector Estates teams</li><li>Experience of laboratories and high containment environments</li><li>Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in project management</li><li>MA or Postgraduate qualification</li><li>Chartered status ARB/RIBA, RICS, CIAT, CIBSE</li></ul>
