This Project Manager role is full-time within the Strategy in Life Sciences service line and will be appointed to work in a government department, in the clients Technical Services Planning Function, whose role is to support the strategic development and management of the client’s estate.
The role will report to the service line Director and manage and assure business processes for the Planning Function. It includes the review, analysis, and optimization of established processes to improve efficiencies and quality.
The post holder will be required to work at least 3 days per week, with the rest of the team, at this major government life sciences site in Weybridge, Surrey, with possible other infrequent travel to sites around the UK.

<ul><li>Support the development of the Estate Strategy</li><li>Work to structured and recognised processes and procedures in alignment with the client’s policies</li><li>Responsible for process evaluation, review and development of improvement strategies</li><li>Ensure process compliance and efficiency</li><li>Update process documents</li><li>Manage Commission Execution Plans, ensuring they are updated as appropriate, throughout the commission</li><li>Act as the key point of contact for clients and teams</li><li>Assist in the development and management of the team</li><li>demonstrating excellent role model behaviours</li><li>Support the alignment of the team Information Management with the clients IM environment</li></ul>

<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level in a construction subject is highly desirable</li><li>Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level in project and or process control management, preferable</li><li>5+ years experience as a Project/ Process Manager in a construction industry environment is essential</li><li>Good working knowledge of the public sector, including technical knowledge and understanding the requirements of healthcare and / or life sciences</li><li>Project Management qualification, e.g. PRINCE2 or APM PQ</li><li>Ability to develop improvement strategies</li><li>Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills</li><li>Excellent report and procedure writing skills</li><li>Politically astute and able to deal with a range of clients and situations</li><li>Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholder groups</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Experience in presenting at Programme and Project Board meetings</li><li>Ambition for obtaining membership of a chartered institute in the construction industry (e.g. RICS, CIBSE, CIOB, APM PMQ or MICE) is desirable</li></ul>
