<h2><strong>Journey to net zero</strong></h2>
<p>Lexica is committed to achieving net zero emissions by 2040 at the latest. We are closely monitoring, recording and reporting our emission footprints. In the meantime, we offset our residual emissions and have joined more than 160 other organisations in making a <a href="https://www.pledgetonetzero.org/">Pledge to Net Zero</a>. </p>
<p>Our <a href="https://cms.lexica.co.uk/files/Carbon-Reduction-Plan-2023.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Carbon Reduction Plan</a> gives an insight into our progress so far and our ambitions going forward. </p><h2><strong>Making a difference</strong></h2>
<p>Every year we raise funds for a chosen cause that positively impacts people's health - and have some fun doing it. To date, we have partnered with organisations such as <a href="https://fareshare.org.uk/?gclid=CjwKCAjw-b-kBhB-EiwA4fvKrFU2YocrG-Y_Opd3XJmcIBjyiKXZPt8S9uYyq5dq-4_OlQZGnVWNNBoChg8QAvD_BwE" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">FareShare</a>, <a href="https://prostatecanceruk.org/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Prostate Cancer UK</a>, <a href="https://www.mentalhealth.org.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Mental Health Foundation</a>, and <a href="https://childrenheardandseen.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Children Heard and Seen</a> to help those in our communities. </p><h2><strong>Social Value UK</strong></h2>
<p>We are a proud member of <a href="https://socialvalueuk.org/">Social Value UK</a>, the professional body for social value and impact management. As members, we are joining more than 125 other organisations in the UK to embed core principles for social value measurement and analysis, to refine and share best practice, and to build a powerful movement of like-minded people to influence policy.</p>
<p>We have also been awarded the <a href="https://socialvalueuk.org/social-value-management-certificate/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Social Value Management Certificate</a>, a multi-level award for organisations, departments or projects. This means we are on track to maximising the social value we create. <p>We are fully recognised by Investors in People as a great place to work. Every single person is involved in supporting each other and are doing their best to make Lexica a great place to work and develop. </p><h2><strong>Proud of our roots</strong></h2>
<p>Lexica was born out of the NHS in 2014 as a subsidiary of <a href="https://www.guysandstthomas.nhs.uk/">Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust</a>. We greatly value our roots, and the unique contribution we can make as a consultancy wholly owned by an NHS Trust. A percentage of our profits are reinvested in the NHS every year, with over £3m returned so far.</p>
